Week 9: not a bad week. Not the most amount of miles I’ve managed to do in a week this year so far but still respectable considering there were a a few short days.

A few good milestones were also hit this week, but before I go into those here are the scores on the doors for this week were:

So I guess you might not have picked up from the figures above what the milestones I managed to hit this week were? Well, here they are:

  • I hit the 200 miles mark for my walking
  • I hit the 200 mile mark for my running
  • I hit the 900 mile mark for my total miles
  • I managed to do 30 miles on the exercise bike, the longest I’ve managed to do so far this year
  • I not only managed to run a half marathon, I managed to do it in my quickest time ever

A good week’s training, although I’m beginning to ache all over from doing the half marathon on the treadmill this evening. Pleased I did it though; very happy!

Don’t forget, you can get to my fundraising page at the following location:

The page will be live throughout my challenge this year (and a couple of months after) so please, when you can, give a few pounds to help some very worthy charities.

Why not do like my good mate Stu’s doing? He’s sponsoring me 2p a mile – which is amazingly generous, thanks Stu! You don’t have to pledge that much; 1p, 1/2p, 1/10p…it’ll all add up considering I’ll be covering at least 4012 miles this year!

Thanks. It means a lot and is very much appreciated.
