Week 3 of my 2012 challenge is now complete so I thought I’d better post an update as to how I’m doing.

It’s not been a bad week but my running’s slipped a bit. The running part of the challenge was always going to be the hardest bit. Not just fitting it in around everything else but also on my knees.

Unfortunately, while running on Thursday I think I must have pushed it a little too hard and I ended up getting a bit of a twinge in my left knee. Not good. Because of that I tried a gentle 3km run on Friday and that’s been it, no running over the weekend. Better to take a break from the running than cause any more damage.

This means I’m now a few miles behind schedule on my running but I’m sure I’ll be able to make that up, he says.

Not a bad week but a shame about my knee giving me a bit of bother. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back into the running, although it’s going to be hard this week working around making time up for Friday – my drive round the M25 – so we’ll see. I’ll try not to be too hard on myself.
