Birthdays have never really been the same since losing mum and dad, even more so since the girls moved away. It’s a time of year I normally dread, preferring to take myself away from it all; why celebrate?
This year however was entirely different. Yes, I wasn’t looking forward to my Birthday for the usual old reasons even though it was [supposedly] a special one – the big 4-0!
In the end, having my girls with me for the weekend (my weekend with them fell right this year) and having such a wonderful person [Shelli] really go that extra mile to make sure I had a smile on my face and to spoil me rotten, well, it made this a very special Birthday weekend.
Thank you everyone who sent me a card/Birthday wish, especially my girls, Shelli, Asri, Eleni, Val and Tony for making this a weekend to remember, instead of one to forget!
Each year there is now
A reason to celebrate.
Fantastic Birthday!
How’s it feel being 40! Unlike me, still 25!
25? Ha, in your dreams!
Feels fine, although I swear the amount of grey/white hair doubled over night on Thursday?! 🙂
Glad you had a good time. Love you honey. xx
p.s. I’ll bring over the Just for Men tonight! 😉
Seriously, I could have screamed when I looked in the mirror yesterday morning to do my hair! Very strange. Alice mentioned about dying my hair, both of us having a good giggle about it. Don’t think I’ll do it though. I’ll just grow grey/white disgracefully! 😉
That’s hardly a challenge… you’ve always been disgraceful! 🙂
What?! No, no, no, no, no! Surely you must have mistaken with somebody else? 😉
Oh shit, you’re right… I’ve been dating the wrong fella! Really should get my eyes checked 😉
Indeed 😉
Ha! No… I’m pretty sure you’re the one for me… grey hair or not! 🙂
You need “Just for Men”!
Don’t you start! 😉
