Week 15: a better week running wise this week. Resting my leg for a week was definitely the right thing to do, regardless of how frustrating it was at the time. It’s still not 100% – my calf muscle and hip complain a little every now and then – but it’s a lot better than it was.

I’ve gone past 100 days of this challenge now which is a bit mad. It’s longer than I spent walking up the country in 2010, and there’s still over 7 months left to go…gulp!

Sunday Shelli and I took part in the Maxifuel 10K; Marina ran the 5K distance. It was cold and windy – very windy – but it was good to get my first official event out of the way for the year. I ran with Shelli to help with her pace and encourage her along, both of us coming in at 1:13:15, which was a personal best for Shelli – she did brilliantly!

Next event: Bupa London 10K next month. Bring it on!
