Week 13: another week goes by and more training’s completed. Not the best week running wise but that was mainly down to the fact that I wasn’t in a position to do any really.

A good chunk of this week’s miles came from being out and about and having fun. Shelli and I walked for two days along the Thames Path, and the evening before that we had the night out in London, opting to walk to/from Paddington station to the West End – much nicer than the hot tubes!

All of that meant my running took a back seat for the week. Not a problem as I’m almost 40 miles up on where I should be at the moment with my running so I’ve got a bit of a buffer zone before I need to panic. Just as well really as my left leg/knee/hip took a bit of a battering with the 42 miles along the Thames Path and I’m taking a break at the moment to let everything settle down before I get out running again. I’ve got my first 10K in just under two weeks so I want to make sure I’m fit for that so it’s time to be sensible, for a change.
