Week 5 of my 2012 challenge is now complete so it’s time for another update on how things are going.

Another good week this past week including some milestones I’m pretty happy to have reached. More on that later. For now, here’s the breakdown for the last week:

So the milestones I mentioned earlier. As weeks go this was a pretty good one with regards to ticking off those motivating milestones. Here they are:

  • I went through the 100 miles point for walking miles
  • I went through the 100 miles point for running miles
  • I went through the 300 miles point for cycling miles
  • I went through the 500 miles point for my overall mileage

There’s nothing that keeps me motivated more than seeing the progress I’ve made over the last 5 weeks. I constantly amaze myself how much I’m able to do around work and life in general.

I’m ahead on all my targets for the year but I don’t want to sit back and take it easy. I want to stay ahead for those times I can’t do any exercise, e.g. if I’m ill or I’m away with the girls.
